Senior Frontend Developer

What you will do

• Develop and improve frontend features for tools and services in the Health & Professional domain.
• Build UI components and deliver incremental improvements to complex, long-lived applications, including Node.js applications and browser-based products.
• Collaborate with product, user research, frontend enablement, and other cross-functional teams to improve user journeys and customer access to content and e-learning.
• Participate in code reviews, pull request reviews, technical discussions, retrospectives, and post-incident reviews when required.
• Contribute to frontend practices, architecture, the design system, and the open-source frontend playbook.
• Identify codebase problems, propose sustainable solutions, and advise more junior developers across the business.

Requirements

• Professional experience in frontend development using a range of methodologies and technologies.
• Experience working at scale with complex, long-lived systems where robustness and maintainability are priorities.
• Strong understanding of frontend practices, architecture, accessibility, and progressive enhancement.
• Ability to collaborate with people from different backgrounds and seniority levels and influence technology discussions.
• Good command of English required for day-to-day communication and collaboration.
• The role is based in Berlin, Germany.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Node.js and Express.
• Experience working with design systems.
