Translator (Product Information) - Japanese

Location: London, United Kingdom. Hybrid model with 3 days per week in the office and 2 days working from home.

What you will do

• Translate and localise product information for Japanese audiences, including materials, fabric compositions, and size and fit details.
• Adapt the product catalogue and related website, marketing, email, and social media content to local cultural preferences.
• Manage translation workflows, translation memories, and terminology databases to deliver consistent, high-quality content on time.
• Review and update outdated or inaccurate copy in line with luxury fashion standards.
• Collaborate with multilingual teams and contribute to localisation tools, process optimisation, and content quality initiatives.

Requirements

• Native-level Japanese fluency with exceptional written and verbal skills.
• Experience writing, translating, and localising content for luxury or high-end e-commerce brands.
• Experience translating technical product details such as fabric compositions, material properties, and size and fit information.
• Experience managing translation workflows, translation memories, and terminology databases.
• Familiarity with localisation and translation tools, including TMS and machine translation, is required.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation, collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience with SEO optimisation.
• Experience with Shopify, Magento, or similar e-commerce platforms.
