Senior Manager, Operational Risk Liaison (Financial Services)

Location: On site in Orlando, Florida, or Omaha, Nebraska

Salary: USD $120,000–$170,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Provide risk intelligence, consultation, and credible challenge to business partners in Corporate Vendor Management and Investor Services.
• Identify key operational risks, assess controls, evaluate risk events and issues, and support Risk and Control Self-Assessments.
• Analyze operational risk data, metrics, and reporting to identify trends and support risk-based decision-making.
• Advise on emerging risks and business-led initiatives, including projects, process changes, and new products.
• Partner with business leaders, operational teams, central risk teams, and second-line-of-defense stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in risk practices and translate complex risk topics into actionable guidance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in risk management, governance, or a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience applying risk management and governance principles in brokerage, banking, or financial services operations.
• Strong risk assessment, analytical thinking, independent judgment, and control-environment evaluation skills.
• Clear and confident communication with senior leaders, business partners, and risk stakeholders.
• Ability to build trusted relationships across business units and risk functions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Risk and Control Self-Assessments, operational risk issues, risk events, controls, or remediation.
• Experience using operational risk metrics and reporting to monitor risk activity and support decisions.
• Understanding of business process and control design, implementation, maintenance, and oversight.
• Ability to influence without direct authority, manage priorities independently, and complete projects or reporting.
