Merchant (Retail)

Location: Remote; Flex Designation: Anywhere. The posting lists a corporate address in Calabasas, California, and may require up to 10% travel.

Salary: $117,300–$176,000 annually, plus an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Support the development of assigned product categories and execute assortment and category reviews.
• Create business plans and detailed promotional programs to maximize gross profit and improve profitability.
• Analyze item- and category-level pricing strategies and coordinate promotions to increase sales and average basket size.
• Collaborate with merchandising, inventory, operations, brand development, packaging, and space-planning teams.
• Lead item transitions, define forecasts, and monitor products through their life cycle.
• Supervise, manage, and develop team members while presenting plans to management and executives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in merchandising, category management, or a related field.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, presentation, planning, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and present plans to all levels of management, including executives.
• Ability to work in a general office environment, use computers and video conferencing, and lift up to 15 pounds.
