Senior Field Application Engineer (Automotive MCU)

What you will do

• Provide on-site and remote technical support for customer projects based on Automotive MCUs.
• Act as the primary technical interface during development, validation, and early production phases.
• Support body and zone controllers, radio, audio, and selected infotainment systems, including MCU bring-up, peripheral configuration, and system integration.
• Analyze and resolve hardware, embedded software, and system-level issues involving drivers, RTOS integration, and AUTOSAR Classic systems.
• Coordinate issue escalation with application engineering, R&D, and product teams.
• Support design reviews, technical workshops, NPI activities, reference designs, customer enablement, documentation, and feedback collection.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in automotive electronics, embedded systems, FAE, application engineering, or customer-facing technical support.
• Solid experience with Automotive MCU platforms and peripherals such as ADC, timers, PWM, communication interfaces, DMA, and system resources.
• Experience with embedded software stacks, BSPs, peripheral drivers, and debugging tools including JTAG, trace, logging, and memory analysis.
• Understanding of body or zone controller architectures, radio, audio, or infotainment systems, including ECU hardware/software integration.
• Basic knowledge of automotive cybersecurity, secure boot, firmware authentication, secure communication, key and certificate usage, and Functional Safety concepts under ISO 26262.
• English proficiency is required for daily technical communication, including meetings, emails, and documentation. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally and work independently at customer sites is required.

• Experience supporting automotive OEMs or Tier-1 customers.
• Experience with Automotive Ethernet switches or time-sensitive networking.
• Experience with system validation or field issue troubleshooting.
• GenAI or Edge AI experience, including agent usage or model compiling, tuning, and quantization.
