Managing Director, Investor Relations

Location: Westlake, TX or New York, NY; temporary New York placement requires relocation to the Dallas/Fort Worth corporate headquarters within a reasonable timeframe.

Salary: USD $225,000–$375,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead execution of the investor relations strategy and align external communications with enterprise priorities.
• Advise the Head of Investor Relations, CFO, CEO, Executive Council, and senior Finance leaders on investor sentiment, valuation, shareholder engagement, disclosure strategy, and market positioning.
• Shape messaging for earnings, business updates, capital management initiatives, strategic transactions, and other material communications.
• Represent Schwab with institutional investors, buy-side and sell-side analysts, rating agencies, and other external stakeholders.
• Lead market intelligence, ownership analysis, valuation benchmarking, peer tracking, and investor sentiment reporting for executive and Board-level discussions.
• Oversee earnings materials, investor presentations, disclosure support, management communications, and the development of a high-performing Investor Relations team.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive experience in investor relations, corporate finance, equity research, capital markets, financial communications, or related senior finance roles.
• Deep knowledge of investor relations, public-company communications, corporate finance, capital markets, financial services, securities disclosure, and institutional investor expectations.
• Exceptional executive communication, analytical, stakeholder management, and financial modeling capabilities.
• Experience preparing earnings materials, investor presentations, business updates, external messaging, management Q&A, disclosure support, and Board- or executive-level briefings.
• Experience building relationships with institutional investors, buy-side analysts, sell-side analysts, and other investment community stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field required.

Nice to have

• Senior-level financial services experience, particularly in brokerage, banking, wealth management, asset management, or another regulated financial institution.
• MBA, CFA, CPA, or another related advanced credential.
