Principal Product Engineer (Virtuoso Backend Flows)

Salary: $136,500–$253,500 annual salary, with potential incentive compensation including bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Drive development and customer adoption of advanced backend design flows in hirify.global Virtuoso for leading-edge process nodes.
• Develop and apply custom IC backend design, layout, physical design, and signoff methodologies.
• Automate design workflows using SKILL, Python, Perl, and UNIX Shell.
• Work directly with customers to understand technical challenges and deliver effective solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and collaborate with R&D teams to improve product capabilities.
• Create documentation and training materials and support customer enablement.

Requirements

• Strong experience in custom IC backend design, layout, and signoff flows.
• Deep familiarity with Virtuoso layout environments and advanced-node methodologies.
• Experience with automation and scripting using SKILL, Python, Perl, or UNIX Shell.
• Ability to work directly with customers, understand technical challenges, and deliver effective solutions.
• Experience troubleshooting complex issues and collaborating with R&D teams.
• Strong communication, documentation, and training skills.
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 9+ years of relevant experience, or an MS degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.
