Senior Director, PX Governance

Location: South San Francisco, California, United States; hybrid schedule with 3 days per week on campus. No relocation benefits are available.

Salary: $209,000–$388,100 annually, plus a discretionary annual bonus may be available.

What you will do

• Design and operate the enterprise patient-experience governance model, including decision-making frameworks, forums, and accountability mechanisms.
• Facilitate cross-functional governance bodies, including the PX Steering Committee.
• Identify, frame, and escalate strategic decisions, trade-offs, and enterprise risks to senior leadership.
• Set guardrails for patient-facing solutions, roles, materials, and services.
• Define patient-experience KPIs and outcome frameworks covering operational performance, patient engagement, and long-term economic ROI.
• Manage the consolidated view of financial performance and portfolio investments while leading and developing a high-performing team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of professional industry experience in biotech, pharma, or related sectors.
• Experience navigating complex matrixed organizations and working with senior leadership to drive strategic alignment and decisions.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional dependencies, negotiate trade-offs, and secure senior-stakeholder buy-in.
• Strong background in financial planning and analysis, portfolio prioritization, process optimization, and digital tools supporting patient outcomes.
• Experience managing and coaching high-performing teams, with knowledge of healthcare regulatory environments, patient data ethics and privacy, and patient-support governance frameworks.
