TL;DR

Senior Director, International Trade and Market Access Policy (Pharma): Leading international trade and market access policy strategy for the International Division with an accent on procurement barriers, IP challenges, and diplomatic engagement. Focus on shaping policy environments, negotiating trade agreements, and coordinating responses to localization pressures and pricing reforms.

Location: Hybrid (2-3 days per week onsite). Available locations: Washington DC, New York (USA), Brussels (Belgium), or Rives de Paris (France).

Salary: $214,900 – $358,100

What you will do

  • Define and prioritize the International Division's market access and trade agenda across key global markets.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement barriers, IP challenges, and commercial trade policy risks.
  • Engage foreign trade ministries, regulators, and policymakers to shape policy environments.
  • Represent the company within trade associations, business coalitions, and multilateral institutions such as the WTO and UNGA.
  • Collaborate with U.S. Policy & Government Affairs to advance priorities through coordinated diplomatic engagement.
  • Commission data and evidence from academia and think tanks to support international advocacy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree minimum; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in international trade policy and government relations, preferably in biopharmaceuticals.
  • Expertise in trade agreement negotiations, tariffs, and the economic impact of trade on the pharma industry.
  • Proven track record of coalition-building and mobilizing stakeholders.
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally based on business needs.
