Senior DSP & Audio Embedded Software Engineer (Board Bring Up)

Salary: $73,150–$174,000 base compensation annually

What you will do

• Bring up, integrate, and validate DSP and Safety Processor subsystems on the iRDK platform.
• Own the real-time audio pipeline, including codec integration, Audio HAL enablement, latency characterization, and performance validation.
• Integrate safety-critical subsystems such as lockstep processing, safety monitors, and fault detection mechanisms.
• Debug hardware/software integration issues affecting audio, DSP, and safety subsystem performance.
• Validate real-time performance and audio quality against Ok2Book and program acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, systems, validation, firmware, tools, and technology partner teams while documenting subsystem readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of embedded software development experience, including 5+ years with TI DSP platforms such as C7xxx or C66x.
• Strong C/C++ development skills in bare-metal and RTOS-based environments, with experience in TI SYS/BIOS, FreeRTOS, or equivalent RTOS platforms.
• Hands-on audio subsystem bring-up experience with ALSA, Audio HAL, codec integration, I2S, and SoundWire.
• Experience with safety-critical embedded systems, lockstep architectures, safety self-test libraries, and FTTI analysis or modeling.
• Experience with TI Code Composer Studio, DSP toolchains, board bring-up, and diagnostic tools including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG.
