Sr. Principal Software Engineer (Embedded C/C++)

Location: Fridley, Minnesota, United States of America

Salary: $178,400–$267,600 per year for U.S. locations excluding Puerto Rico and specific California locations.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, debug, implement, and verify embedded software for implantable Pelvic Health neuromodulation devices.
• Define technical vision and develop solutions spanning web and mobile platforms.
• Provide subject-matter expertise in mobile application architecture, distributed systems, and modern web technologies.
• Lead technical evaluations, architecture reviews, and design decisions with architects, systems engineers, and product owners.
• Establish engineering standards, development frameworks, software policies, and procedures across teams.
• Collaborate with Systems, Electrical Engineering, Security, Quality, and other stakeholders through product release.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of relevant experience, master’s degree with 8 years, or PhD with 6 years.
• Experience with embedded software development using C and C++.
• Knowledge of embedded systems design, low-level firmware, device drivers, peripherals, and communication protocols.
• Experience with regulated software development, medical devices, quality standards, requirements, verification strategies, and test cases.
• Experience developing and debugging Bluetooth Low Energy embedded firmware, including connectivity, power optimization, and interoperability.
• U.S. work authorization is required; H-1B, TN, J, and other sponsorship is offered for Principal-level roles and above.

Nice to have

• Experience partnering with Systems Engineering, Verification and Validation, Human Factors, and Quality teams.
• Knowledge of hirify.global Neuro devices, programs, and associated software applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
