Senior Software Engineer (AdTech)

Location: Remote in Canada or the United States

Base salary: CAD 170,400–234,300 in Canada; USD 160,000–220,000 in the USA. Additional bonuses, commissions, equity awards, and benefits may apply.

What you will do

• Lead and collaborate with engineers to design, implement, and optimize programmatic bidding systems.
• Build and improve scalable microservices for pacing, bid price optimization, user-profile enrichment, and other adtech workflows.
• Apply analytical, statistical, and data-driven methods to optimize programmatic performance through experimentation.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to build production machine learning and real-time inference solutions.
• Optimize distributed systems handling billions of requests per second with millisecond-level latency.
• Partner with Product teams and promote operational and technical excellence across backend engineering.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience, including high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems and scalable microservices or data pipelines.
• 3+ years of experience in AdTech or MarTech, preferably with high-scale or performance-critical systems.
• Advanced Go programming skills or strong proficiency in C++, Java, Scala, or Rust.
• Experience deploying large-scale machine learning models and real-time inference systems in production.
• Hands-on experience with multiple database systems and their performance trade-offs.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.

Nice to have

• Experience or interest in computational graphics, GPU programming, game development, game theory, or financial trading systems.
