Consultant – Compliance Data Science & AI (AI)

Location: United States; candidates must reside within reasonable commuting distance of a hirify.global office or approved coworking location. Consultants work onsite at client locations as required and from a hirify.global office or approved coworking location at least three days per week between engagements.

Salary: $98,000–$122,000 annual base salary, plus an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Partner with client leadership, engineering, program management, and analytics teams to define data needs and business solutions.
• Acquire, process, explore, and analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends and patterns.
• Build predictive models, machine learning algorithms, dashboards, pipelines, datasets, and decision-support tools for compliance and risk operations.
• Design, fine-tune, and deploy LLM-based systems and GenAI applications using proprietary and open-source models.
• Optimize prompts, guardrails, and agentic workflows while ensuring compliance with GDPR, the EU AI Act, and applicable model licenses.
• Contribute to internal offerings, publications, training, working groups, business development, and client sales activities.

Requirements

• Master’s or Engineering degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst.
• Strong Python and SQL programming skills.
• Proficiency with a major GenAI application framework such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and knowledge of proprietary and open-source model ecosystems.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States throughout employment is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience building agentic AI, conversational AI, chatbot, or production-scale model systems.
• Knowledge of machine learning, statistics, data visualization, and MCP or similar protocols.
• Experience with regulatory obligations management, control design, risk assessment, compliance testing, or regulatory interpretation.
