Associate Data Scientist (USA)

Location: Hybrid in Salt Lake City, Utah, preferred, or remote within the USA. Hybrid employees must reside within commuting distance of the specified office and attend regular in-office events.

Salary: $96,000–$107,000 USD base salary annually, plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Extract healthcare data to build metrics and create or update Tableau dashboards tracking company, department, and customer KPIs.
• Prepare, analyze, visualize, and interpret real-time and historical healthcare data.
• Share insights with customers and recommend actions based on success drivers and improvement opportunities.
• Consult with internal and external stakeholders to develop dashboards, metrics, outcomes evaluations, and ROI analyses.
• Respond to ad hoc analytical requests and research ideas to prioritize areas of focus.
• Participate in peer review to ensure the accuracy and quality of deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in data science, analytics, mathematics, statistics, public health, economics, social science, or actuarial science; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 2–7 years of analytics experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with Python, Tableau, SQL, data warehouses, and relational databases.
• Experience cleaning, aggregating, and preprocessing data from varied sources and writing complex SQL queries for standard and ad hoc data mining.
• Strong analytical, communication, attention-to-detail, prioritization, and deadline-management skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Previous experience in the healthcare industry.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
