Sr Product Manager – Data Center Controls Solutions

Location: San Diego, CA; Plymouth, MN; Phoenix, AZ; or Atlanta, GA. Travel approximately 20–30%. Work visa sponsorship is not available.

Annual base salary: $113,800–$193,900, plus a potential bonus of up to 20% in Minnesota.

What you will do

• Own the portfolio strategy and long-term roadmap for data center controls solutions.
• Define requirements across building and equipment controls, automation platforms, digital services, analytics, cloud connectivity, monitoring, optimization, cybersecurity, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Lead the product lifecycle from concept and new product introduction through launch, commercialization, growth, and end-of-life.
• Develop business cases, market assessments, customer value propositions, pricing strategies, revenue forecasts, and go-to-market plans.
• Coordinate engineering, digital, manufacturing, operations, service, sales, marketing, and external technology partners.
• Advise strategic customers and executives while monitoring portfolio performance, profitability, adoption, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, computer, building automation systems, or a related technical discipline.
• 6–8 years of experience in product management, building automation, controls, data center infrastructure, HVAC systems, digital services, software solutions, or related technologies.
• At least 5 years of product management leadership experience in controls, software, digital services, cloud-connected solutions, or mission-critical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Building Automation Systems, HVAC controls, equipment controls, integrated solution architectures, and data center operations.
• Experience with product lifecycle management, NPI programs, product roadmapping, business cases, market assessments, and commercialization.
• Strong analytical, financial, strategic planning, communication, and stakeholder-influence skills.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of experience in data center, mission-critical, or building technologies markets.
• Experience with data center cooling, thermal management, cloud-connected platforms, IoT architectures, analytics, AI/ML, and digital services.
• Experience with hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, edge, or AI-focused data center environments.
• Experience working with software vendors, cloud providers, technology alliances, and strategic partners.
• MBA, advanced business training, or experience developing vertical market strategies.
