Sr Product Manager – Data Center Controls Solutions

Location: Remote in California, with listed locations in San Diego, CA; Plymouth, MN; and Phoenix, AZ. Travel of approximately 20–30% is required.

Salary: $113,800–$193,900 annual base salary, plus up to a potential 20% bonus in Minnesota.

What you will do

• Own the portfolio strategy, product vision, and long-term roadmap for data center controls solutions.
• Define solution requirements across building and equipment controls, automation platforms, digital services, analytics, cloud connectivity, monitoring, optimization, cybersecurity, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Lead the product lifecycle from concept development and new product introduction through launch, commercialization, growth, and end-of-life management.
• Develop business cases, market assessments, customer value propositions, pricing strategies, revenue forecasts, and investment recommendations.
• Coordinate engineering, digital services, manufacturing, operations, sales, marketing, service, and external technology partners during NPI and go-to-market activities.
• Monitor portfolio performance, profitability, adoption, customer satisfaction, market trends, and competitive offerings while supporting strategic customer engagements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, computer, building automation systems, or a related technical discipline.
• 6–8 years of experience in product management, building automation, controls, data center infrastructure, HVAC systems, digital services, software solutions, or related technologies.
• At least 5 years of product management leadership experience in controls, software, digital services, cloud-connected solutions, or mission-critical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Building Automation Systems, HVAC controls, equipment controls, integrated solution architectures, and mission-critical data center environments.
• Experience with product lifecycle management, NPI programs, customer requirements analysis, product roadmapping, commercialization, business cases, and market assessments.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of experience in data center, mission-critical, or building technologies markets.
• Experience with data center cooling, thermal management, cloud-connected platforms, IoT architecture, analytics, AI/ML, SaaS, and digital services.
• Experience with hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, edge, or AI-focused data centers.
• Experience working with software vendors, cloud providers, technology alliances, and strategic partners.
• MBA, advanced business training, or experience developing vertical market strategies.
