Location: Fully remote, with the ideal candidate based near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and supporting cases in the surrounding area. U.S. Persons only due to ITAR export-control requirements.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Conduct forensic investigations of structural damage, defects, failures, moisture intrusion, premises liability claims, and roof conditions.
• Perform site inspections and collect evidence and technical data.
• Apply civil and structural engineering principles to analyze and assess failures and defects.
• Prepare clear technical reports documenting findings and conclusions.
• Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings when required.
• Track industry trends, building codes, and structural engineering standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Must be a U.S. Person, including a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, to comply with ITAR requirements.

• Forensic engineering experience.
• Experience providing expert testimony in legal proceedings.
