Director of Information Technology (Defense Technology)

What you will do

• Develop and execute the IT strategy, roadmap, policies, operating model, and modernization initiatives.
• Lead enterprise infrastructure, networks, cloud environments, endpoints, identity and access management, collaboration platforms, business applications, and end-user services.
• Manage IT and DevOps teams and the associated infrastructure and cloud environment, including Artemis.
• Establish IT governance, service management, asset and change management, configuration management, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.
• Advise executive leadership on technology investments, cybersecurity risk, infrastructure requirements, and emerging technologies.
• Manage budgets, vendors, contracts, licensing, technology lifecycles, service levels, metrics, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Must be onsite in San Diego, California.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and currently hold active U.S. national security eligibility or be able to obtain it and maintain it throughout employment.
• 10+ years of progressive information technology experience, including enterprise technology operations.
• 5+ years of IT leadership or management experience involving teams, infrastructure, budgets, vendors, and technology strategy.
• Experience supporting a DoD contractor, Defense Industrial Base organization, federal contractor, or similarly regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, identity and access management, endpoint management, cybersecurity, CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, DFARS, and related DoD requirements.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, information systems, engineering, business administration, or a related discipline.
• Experience leading IT operations in a growing or geographically distributed DoD contracting organization.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Government, Azure Government, AWS GovCloud, or comparable government-authorized cloud environments.
• Familiarity with DoD RMF, NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP, and CMMC assessment and certification activities.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, ITIL, Security+, or equivalent.
