ATS Hardware Engineer

Location: Altus, Oklahoma, USA; U.S. citizenship is required, and eligibility for a DoD Personal Security Clearance is mandatory. The role is primarily performed in an engineering lab, with occasional work in simulator bays and training facilities.

What you will do

• Develop, modify, install, and support software applications, operating systems, networking components, and simulation interfaces.
• Participate in the full software engineering lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through integration, testing, implementation, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot product-level issues and restore application functionality and system performance.
• Support the integration and deployment of training systems, simulators, and related engineering components.
• Communicate project status, risks, technical issues, and recommended solutions to lead engineers and stakeholders.
• Create and maintain software specifications, installation guides, test procedures, and technical support documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 2–4 years of experience in software development, system integration, or technical support.
• Foundational knowledge of software engineering, debugging, application development, operating systems, networking, and software installation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and teamwork skills.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to U.S. Government contract requirements.
• Must be eligible for a DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with simulation systems, training devices, or defense-related engineering projects.
• Knowledge of system integration, simulation networking middleware, distributed systems, or networking protocols.
• Experience with version control, configuration management, structured development environments, or technical documentation.
