TL;DR
Factory Quality Production Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing): Developing and improving production quality processes for advanced lithography-machine modules with an accent on statistical process control, pFMEA, failure investigations, and manufacturing data analysis. Focus on driving structural process improvements, automating quality reporting, supporting cleanroom production, and validating root causes across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Location: Wilton, Connecticut, United States; onsite work in a cleanroom and production environment

What you will do

  • Support Statistical Process Control, including Critical to Quality and Critical to Customer target setting, monitoring, reviews, and weekly reporting.
  • Facilitate process FMEA reviews, Dead-On-Arrival investigations, failure analysis, and root-cause validation.
  • Drive structural improvements for underperforming KPIs and improve quality reporting, data collection, and automation.
  • Collaborate with optical, mechanical, electrical, software, production, assembly, and test engineering teams on quality processes and manufacturing requirements.
  • Support audits, quality management reviews, manufacturing procedures, technical work instructions, and new product introduction.
  • Work with production teams in the cleanroom for quality improvement, data collection, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Engineering, preferably Quality or Industrial Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of engineering-environment experience with a bachelor's degree, or 0+ years with a master's degree.
  • Experience with high-tech production environments, complex manufacturing processes, SPC, FMEA, quality, and Lean Six Sigma.
  • Ability to read optical, mechanical, and electrical drawings and manage data using Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, ownership, follow-through, teamwork, and continuous-improvement orientation.
  • Must be legally authorized to access technology controlled under United States Export Administration Regulations before starting work.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, NX, Teamcenter, or SAP.
