Factory Quality Production Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Wilton, Connecticut, United States; onsite in a precision high-tech manufacturing and cleanroom environment

Salary: $81,375–$119,000 base annual salary

What you will do

• Support Statistical Process Control, including CTQ and CTC target setting, monitoring, reviews, and weekly reporting.
• Facilitate pFMEA reviews, DOA investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
• Spend up to 50% of the time in the cleanroom supporting production, collecting data, monitoring processes, and improving quality.
• Collaborate with optical, mechanical, electrical, software, assembly, production, and business engineering teams on quality processes and best-known methods.
• Develop and improve reporting tools, automate data collection, and support KPI improvement initiatives.
• Support audits, quality management reviews, manufacturing procedures, equipment calibration, preventative maintenance, and new product introduction.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Engineering, preferably Quality or Industrial Engineering.
• At least 2 years of engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 0+ years with a master’s degree.
• Experience in high-tech production, complex manufacturing processes, SPC, FMEA, Quality, and Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing.
• Ability to read optical, mechanical, and electrical drawings and strong MS Excel data management and presentation skills.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary groups, communicate with senior leadership, take ownership, and deliver results.
• Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under United States Export Administration Regulations before starting work.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of MATLAB, LabVIEW, and Python.
• Working knowledge of NX, Teamcenter, and SAP.
