Software Engineer, AI/ML (Fullstack)

Location: Hybrid work arrangement in the New York area, United States

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Turn ambiguous ideas into shipped, production-grade AI features and user-facing experiences.
• Design, build, and deploy LLM-powered systems, including multi-step workflows with reasoning, tool use, and structured outputs.
• Develop AI-native interfaces where users collaborate with AI, including streaming, feedback loops, and iterative workflows.
• Build and integrate backend services, APIs, data pipelines, frontend experiences, retrieval systems, and external tools.
• Design guardrails, monitoring, evaluation, and feedback loops while optimizing latency, cost, accuracy, autonomy, control, and reliability.
• Collaborate with AI Infrastructure and iterate quickly based on real user traffic and system behavior.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including system design, data structures, and clean code.
• Track record of building and shipping production systems and AI-powered applications.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and C#, with the ability to work across a polyglot stack.
• Hands-on experience with agentic or multi-step AI systems, APIs, and tool integrations.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in the New York area.

Nice to have

• Experience with end-to-end agentic applications, RAG systems, vector databases, and agent frameworks such as LangGraph or LangChain.
• Experience with evaluation and observability systems or AI-native UX.
• Cloud infrastructure experience with GCP Cloud Run or AWS ECS and Lambda.
• Mobile app development experience, especially with AI-powered iOS, Android, React Native, or Flutter applications.
• Experience in regulated domains such as fintech or legaltech.
