Material Handler/CDL-A Backup Shuttle Driver (Manufacturing)

Location: NC - Morganton; shuttle runs between the Morganton Warehouse and Hildebran Manufacturing Facility.

What you will do

• Receive, inspect, store, pull, stage, and transport raw materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse and manufacturing facility.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Maintain inventory transactions, part tracking, cycle counts, and material deliveries to production areas.
• Keep warehouse operations clean, organized, accurate, timely, and safe.
• Serve as a backup shuttle driver when needed, operating a company tractor-trailer between Morganton and Hildebran.
• Complete vehicle inspections, secure loads, maintain driver logs, report incidents, and follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) required.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record and successful completion of company driver qualification requirements required.
• High school diploma or GED, or relevant experience demonstrating the required skills and competencies.
• Ability to operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely, perform inventory transactions, and complete transportation documentation accurately.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe commercial driving practices, including the ability to operate a tractor-trailer in varying weather and traffic conditions.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry materials weighing up to 60 pounds and perform standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.

Nice to have

• Previous warehouse, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing material-handling experience.
• Forklift certification or the ability to become certified.
