General Manager, Field Service Operations (HVAC/R): Building and scaling an internal commercial HVAC/R technician organization across multiple markets with an accent on technician development, technical standards, field operations, customer experience, and service P&L ownership. Location: Hybrid role based in Texas or Miami, Florida; approximately 25–40% travel, including travel between the United States and Canada.

What you will do
- Build recruiting, assessment, onboarding, development, and retention processes for HVAC/R technicians.
- Hire and lead service managers, lead technicians, and field technicians through performance standards, ride-alongs, technical audits, coaching, and corrective action.
- Establish licensing, insurance, vehicle, tool, safety, background-check, technical SOP, diagnostic, documentation, pricing, and escalation standards.
- Own dispatch, capacity, utilization, first-time completion, callbacks, SLAs, and customer satisfaction across field operations.
- Manage service P&L performance, including labor productivity, overtime, fleet, parts, warranty expense, and gross margin.
- Build service-sales capabilities and develop a repeatable operating model for launching and scaling new RSG markets.
Requirements
- 5+ years of HVAC/R experience and 3+ years managing technicians, dispatch, or service operations.
- Strong commercial HVAC/R experience with the ability to diagnose difficult jobs and assess technician competency; residential-only experience is insufficient.
- Experience hiring and developing technicians while owning revenue, utilization, gross margin, callbacks, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Experience leading service sales for repairs, replacements, maintenance agreements, or account expansion.
- Active Class A HVAC/R contractor license or equivalent unrestricted state license required to perform and supervise commercial HVAC/R work in the state where the role is based.
- Ability to travel approximately 25–40%, including between the United States and Canada.
