Platform Software Engineer II (AI)

Location: New York City, hybrid

Salary: $104,000–$176,040 per year for U.S.-based candidates; expected OTE of $116,000–$195,600 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build self-service paths for deployment, provisioning, testing, and other infrastructure primitives.
• Develop frameworks and guardrails for safely deploying internally built AI agents, including access governance.
• Define infrastructure-as-a-service primitives with engineering teams.
• Build monitoring, alerting, and observability capabilities that support enterprise-grade SLAs.
• Develop opinionated abstractions and tooling that improve platform safety and developer ergonomics.
• Help shape the future on-call model alongside the dedicated platform support team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building developer tooling, CI/CD pipelines, or similar software.
• Experience building software and developer tooling rather than primarily administering infrastructure.
• Comfort working with Kubernetes as a deployment platform, without focusing primarily on cluster administration.
• Strong software design judgment, including interfaces, boundaries, edge cases, and failure modes.
• Experience with developer platform integrations such as GitHub Apps, internal CLIs, or MCP.
• Ability to collaborate and document effectively across global, remote engineering teams.
