TL;DR
Accountant (iGaming): Recording and analyzing general ledger transactions, preparing financial statements, and supporting accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and tax activities with an accent on reconciliations, financial schedules, and accounting controls. Focus on improving accounting processes, automating workflows, and identifying financial statement risks.
Location: Remote, anywhere in Ontario, Canada

What you will do
- Prepare journal entries, supporting schedules, account reconciliations, and financial analytics.
- Assist with financial statements, distribution letters, tax filings, and tax schedule maintenance.
- Process accounts payable, purchase order expenses, travel and entertainment transactions, cash receipts, and disbursements.
- Process and review payroll through BambooHR in partnership with HR.
- Maintain customer and vendor contracts, lease agreements, fixed asset ledgers, deferred revenue, and capitalized cost schedules.
- Improve accounting documentation and workflows, support automation, and help identify and mitigate financial statement risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Minimum two years of public accounting or corporate accounting and finance experience.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate with staff, customers, vendors, auditors, and advisors while managing competing priorities.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks, NetSuite, Concur T&E, and Convergent is a plus.
Nice to have
- Certified Public Accountant designation or passed CPA exam sections.
