Solutions Architect (Retail)

Location: Chicago, Illinois or Phoenix, Arizona; candidates in other locations may also be considered

Salary: $180,000–$247,500 USD annually, plus potential performance bonus, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical voice for up to nine large enterprise clients in the Retail and CPG sectors.
• Define and implement account-level technical strategies with Account Executives.
• Guide customers through evaluating and adopting Databricks as part of their data and AI transformation strategy.
• Align technical strategies around Databricks solutions and expand ML and AI adoption across relevant use cases.
• Build networks of technical champions within customer accounts.
• Provide structured mentorship to other team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working with very large enterprise accounts exceeding $1M ARR in Retail and CPG.
• 3+ years of pre-sales experience or experience supporting sales activities.
• Technical expertise in big data, data science, and cloud technologies.
• Experience driving data-led business transformation and organizational change.
• 3+ years of designing and implementing big data technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, and OLAP, or full-lifecycle data science solutions.
• Production programming experience with Python, R, Scala, or Java, plus experience maintaining and extending production data systems.
