Sr. Solutions Architect (Databricks/Azure)

Location: Fully remote within the United States

Salary: $165,000–$185,000 annually

What you will do

• Architect standardized Databricks workspaces, linked services, mount points, service principals, and secure data connections.
• Design automated provisioning workflows for workspace creation, identity configuration, CDW access, and customer onboarding.
• Create and maintain Databricks catalogs supporting structured data access, metadata management, governance, and scalable analytics.
• Integrate provisioning workflows with intake, review, and automated data warehouse processes.
• Partner with Databricks engineers, platform teams, security engineers, and customers to meet government security and compliance standards.
• Troubleshoot access, connectivity, data pipeline, and workspace architecture issues while documenting reusable patterns and onboarding guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience in information technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Required Computing Environment certification, such as AWS, Microsoft, or Linux.
• Experience with Department of Defense security, RMF, and/or NIST policies and regulatory compliance assessments.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, and VPN networking protocols.
• Proficiency with Python, Terraform, and Ansible for automation and scripting.
• Experience with virtual or cloud-based servers and applications, technical documentation, Agile delivery, and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience in government, healthcare, or Veterans Affairs cloud and data environments.
• Azure Databricks, VHA Data Lake, enterprise data governance, SQL Server, or Synapse experience.
• Cloud, data, architecture, or Databricks certifications, including Azure Data Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect, SnowPro Core, or TOGAF.
• Experience with automated provisioning, self-service platforms, ServiceNow, Jira, SharePoint, or similar workflow tools.
