Senior Data Steward (Investments Data)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States; hybrid work with at least four full days each week in an hirify.global office

What you will do

• Support daily data stewardship across assigned master data domains and ensure information is accurate, trusted, available, and fit for purpose.
• Partner with data product owners, governance, architecture, technology, and business stakeholders to define requirements, priorities, quality rules, SLAs, and remediation workflows.
• Define and monitor data quality metrics, reporting, and dashboards that show data health and issue resolution.
• Maintain critical data elements, data definitions, metadata, data dictionaries, and field-level guidance.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, mapping, trend analysis, root cause analysis, issue triage, and remediation.
• Support MDM implementation and improvements through workflow design, data quality rules, data model input, integration support, and system issue resolution.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in data management, data stewardship, MDM, data governance, business analysis, or data quality.
• Strong knowledge of master data management, data stewardship, data quality, governance, metadata, and data lifecycle practices.
• Experience with data management systems, MDM platforms, data quality tools, workflow tools, metadata repositories, or enterprise data platforms.
• Strong SQL and Excel skills, with the ability to understand data models, integrations, workflows, and quality rules.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills, plus the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, data science, information science, economics, accounting, engineering, information technology, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with Markit EDM / Opus EDM, Informatica MDM, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Python, Alteryx, VBA, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Financial services, asset management, or investment data experience.
• Experience building or maturing a data stewardship, governance, or MDM practice.
