Lead Analyst Data Governance (Fintech)

Location: Remote - Nationwide; applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. This role operates in a professional office environment.

Base salary: $125,400–$181,875 per year, with eligibility for a bonus program.

What you will do

• Execute and operationalize enterprise data governance and knowledge management frameworks aligned with established policies, standards, DCAM, and DAMA.
• Support data stewardship through onboarding, training, and coordination of data owners and stewards across business domains.
• Maintain metadata, data catalogs, business glossaries, lineage capabilities, and critical data element lifecycle management, including Collibra or similar platforms.
• Monitor data quality metrics, service-level agreements, observability processes, and issue remediation tracking.
• Implement governance checkpoints in data product lifecycles covering data quality, privacy, and lineage.
• Support regulatory compliance, unstructured data and knowledge governance, access controls, responsible AI and GenAI initiatives, and governance reporting with scorecards and KPI dashboards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 7–10 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related disciplines.
• Working knowledge of CCPA, GLBA, ERISA, and SEC and FINRA records requirements.
• Experience with metadata management, data cataloging, and lineage tools, including Collibra or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with data quality frameworks, observability tools, and issue management processes.
• Understanding of knowledge management concepts, including taxonomy and unstructured data governance.
• Experience implementing governance policies, standards, and controls in operational environments.
• Ability to analyze data, produce governance metrics, and develop scorecards and dashboards.
• Proficiency with SQL and familiarity with data platforms such as Snowflake, including tagging and access controls.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting enterprise data governance programs in regulated industries, preferably financial services.
• Exposure to AI governance, model risk management, or responsible AI practices.
