Lead Analyst Data Governance

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States. Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; visa sponsorship, including CPT/OPT sponsorship, is not available.

Base salary: $125,400–$181,875 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus program.

What you will do

• Execute and operationalize enterprise data governance and knowledge management frameworks aligned with DCAM, DAMA, and internal standards.
• Coordinate data stewardship activities, including onboarding and training data owners and stewards across business domains.
• Maintain metadata, business glossaries, catalogs, lineage, and critical data element lifecycle capabilities using Collibra or similar tools.
• Monitor data quality metrics, service-level agreements, observability processes, and remediation activities.
• Implement privacy, quality, lineage, access, and usage controls throughout data product lifecycles.
• Prepare governance reports, KPI dashboards, scorecards, audit evidence, and regulatory documentation in partnership with Risk, Legal, Technology, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 7–10 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related discipline.
• Working knowledge of CCPA, GLBA, ERISA, SEC, and FINRA requirements.
• Experience with metadata management, data cataloging, data lineage, data quality frameworks, observability, and issue management.
• Proficiency with SQL and familiarity with Snowflake governance features, including tagging and access controls.
• Understanding of taxonomy, unstructured data governance, knowledge management, and operational governance controls.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting enterprise data governance programs in regulated industries, preferably financial services.
• Exposure to AI governance, model risk management, or responsible AI practices.
