Associate Operations Specialist, Program Operations (Energy Efficiency) (utility energy efficiency programs): Supporting the evaluation, implementation, and verification of utility-sponsored energy efficiency projects with an accent on process compliance, operational reporting, and cross-functional coordination. Focus on analyzing program data, reviewing commercial project applications, managing KPIs and client deliverables, and coordinating quality-control follow-up.

Location: Kansas City, Missouri, United States of America; local candidates highly preferred, with periodic in-person meetings

Salary: $55,400.00–$94,180.00 annually

What you will do

  • Support the evaluation, implementation, and verification of utility-sponsored energy efficiency projects.
  • Develop and share operational best practices across the team and organization.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Manage reporting, forecasting, client invoices, and key performance indicators.
  • Coordinate with IT, Marketing, Customer Care, and other cross-functional teams, including client-facing presentations.
  • Process and technically review project applications, support customer and contractor inquiries, and coordinate quality-control follow-up on inspections and surveys.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or one year of related experience substituted for each year of education.
  • At least one year of professional experience in administration, operational support, data analysis, energy, or a related field.
  • Understanding of utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs and commercial building technologies.
  • Experience reviewing project applications for compliance with program policies and procedures.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong time management, organization, analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of energy efficiency, demand response, and distributed energy resource programs and markets.
  • Experience with Power BI or a similar data visualization tool.
  • Experience with SharePoint Lists, Power Automate, data management, and reporting.
