Facilities Chemical Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Boise, Idaho, United States; on-site/hybrid work with attendance at the local office or project site and commuting to the client site or office twice weekly.

Salary: $47–$54 per hour.

What you will do

• Develop design requirements and construction documents for manufacturing tool installations, tenant improvements, and facility infrastructure upgrades.
• Design and lay out wet and dry piping, process mechanical systems, process chemical piping, gases, equipment layouts, and related facility systems.
• Perform engineering calculations, equipment sizing, component selection, specifications, and system retrofit planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers, client stakeholders, equipment owners, contractors, and tool manufacturers to define utility requirements and installation packages.
• Provide construction-phase support through field walks, RFI responses, submittal reviews, and coordination with site teams.
• Evaluate, recommend, and specify engineered systems and products for industrial construction and process facility upgrades.

Requirements

• Background in chemical engineering or mechanical facilities engineering.
• Willingness to work from the Boise local office or project site and commute twice weekly.
• Ability to support complex industrial and semiconductor-related facility projects.
• Availability during normal business hours, nominally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility for site support.
