What you will do

  • Manage federal, state, utility, and ISO/RTO registrations, licenses, certifications, reports, renewals, filings, and fee payments.
  • Administer the post-execution lifecycle of utility, power supply, interconnection, transmission, power purchase, natural gas, and energy-credit agreements.
  • Maintain regulatory calendars, contractual milestones, notices, approvals, renewals, termination rights, and compliance evidence.
  • Coordinate regulatory data collection, validation, submissions, audits, collateral, guarantees, letters of credit, and other financial assurance obligations.
  • Design scalable compliance controls, dashboards, workflows, document-retention practices, and process improvements.
  • Coordinate with Energy, Operations, Finance, Treasury, Credit, Procurement, Sustainability, Legal, utilities, regulators, ISO/RTO organizations, and external advisors.

Requirements

  • At least eight years of progressively responsible experience in energy regulatory compliance, regulatory reporting, utility administration, energy contract administration, or a related function.
  • Meaningful experience in electric power, natural gas, utility, retail energy, wholesale energy, or ISO/RTO sectors.
  • Experience managing high-volume, deadline-driven filings or compliance obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience working with state regulatory agencies, utilities, ISO/RTO organizations, legal counsel, and internal business functions.
  • Ability to interpret contracts, tariffs, regulations, and agency instructions and convert them into operational requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, energy, public administration, legal studies, finance, accounting, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent experience may be accepted.

Nice to have

  • Experience with large-load customers, data centers, industrial energy users, or power-intensive facilities.
  • Familiarity with ERCOT, PJM, ISO New England, MISO, NYISO, SPP, or CAISO.
  • Knowledge of public utility commission requirements, utility tariffs, FERC requirements, ISO/RTO rules, or EIA reporting.
