Software Dev Engineer, Device OS Connectivity (Android/Telephony)

Salary: $165,200–$223,600 USD annually, plus sign-on payments and restricted stock units

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize the cellular telephony framework and services layer for Android-based devices.
• Architect and implement calling, data connectivity, messaging, Wi-Fi calling, eSIM provisioning, and 5G integration.
• Optimize call setup latency, network registration, and power efficiency across carrier networks and device configurations.
• Translate customer experience goals into technical designs and implementations with product management.
• Collaborate with modem/baseband, OS platform, QA/certification, and cloud services teams.
• Lead design reviews, make architectural decisions, and resolve complex technical issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience contributing to system architecture and design, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Programming experience in at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, with object-oriented design.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations.
• 3+ years of Android development experience and experience solving technology problems in telecommunications are preferred.
