Strategic Finance Analyst (Sports Media)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; hybrid

hirify.global is a sports media company providing live event coverage, documentaries, news, highlights, statistics, rankings, and profiles across more than a dozen sports verticals.

What you will do

• Own subscription forecasting for new and existing media rights deals across a portfolio of more than 20 sports.
• Collaborate with rights acquisition teams and general managers to assess the value of potential new content.
• Ensure sports content assumptions are accurately reflected in the company’s financial model.
• Build financial models and presentations for major content opportunities reviewed by senior management.
• Work with business intelligence, finance, and operations teams to improve forecasting and reporting processes.
• Build relationships across rights acquisition, finance, operations, content, marketing, and business intelligence.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience in strategic finance, corporate strategy, corporate finance, consulting, business intelligence, corporate development, private equity, or venture capital.
• Understanding of basic financial modeling.
• Ability to build and present materials for senior management.
• Ability to use data to translate ambiguous problems into actionable solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical reasoning, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail.
• Experience in subscription, media, or technology-focused companies.

Nice to have

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and intermediate to extensive financial modeling experience.
• Familiarity with cloud-based analytics and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
• Basic experience with SQL and other data tools.
