Structural Engineering Intermediate

Location: Coraopolis, Pennsylvania; hybrid or remote within the USA Northeast Region. Work may be performed from a local office or home in CT, IA, IL, IN, MA, ME, MI, MN, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, SD, VT, or WI.

Salary: $42–$52 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform conventional structural engineering analysis and design under general supervision.
• Develop structural design concepts, calculations, models, and design documents.
• Apply building-code requirements for lateral analysis and wind and seismic design.
• Coordinate structural requirements with Structural Leads, engineers, designers, and other disciplines.
• Review and check engineering calculations, including work completed by other engineers.
• Manage assigned scope, workload, schedules, quality requirements, and potential scope changes.

Requirements

• EIT certification.
• Degree or professional background in civil or structural engineering.
• 3–5 years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience with structural analysis, design calculations, models, and building-code requirements.
• Ability to work from a local office or home within the specified USA Northeast states.
