Sr. Software Engineer - Java (Java)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend software solutions using Java and frameworks such as Spring.
• Build platform components and contribute to product meta-development.
• Improve scalability, reliability, and security through modern development practices.
• Participate in architectural decisions and help shape long-term technical direction.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, open-source contributors, and security experts to deliver features.
• Use AI-assisted development tools and agentic coding workflows as part of the engineering process.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience developing backend software primarily with Java.
• Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Quarkus, Hibernate, or Struts.
• Experience with Java build and deployment tools including Maven or Gradle.
• Experience building secure and scalable software development lifecycle infrastructure for build, test, and deployment.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or distributed environment, with an interest in open-source software and community collaboration.
