Associate Counsel, Business & Legal Affairs (AI)

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY, with a minimum of four days per week in the office

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 per year, bonus eligible

What you will do

• Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret commercial contracts, including software and technology licenses and professional services agreements.
• Provide legal support for Peacock and other Global Streaming and Media Group apps, websites, and international projects.
• Advise clients on emerging technology transaction issues, including generative AI.
• Coordinate with Privacy, Information Security, and Product Counseling teams on data, confidentiality, product risks, and contract terms.
• Advise business and creative executives on legal risks and practical solutions.
• Support legal training, special projects, best-practice development, and new business processes.

Requirements

• Membership in the New York bar or another U.S. state bar is required.
• JD or LLM degree from an accredited law school.
• At least two years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience with digital media, new media, or online platforms and demonstrated proficiency with technology agreements.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, drafting, negotiation, and business judgment skills.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends when needed and contribute from the New York office at least four days per week.
