Senior Fullstack Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Paris or London

What you will do

• Contribute to the full product lifecycle, from ideation and interface development through backend implementation, deployment, feedback, and measurement.
• Build intuitive and performant web interfaces and supporting backend logic for business owners in Africa.
• Drive architectural decisions that improve scalability, observability, and code modularity.
• Implement security and data protection practices in a regulated fintech environment.
• Maintain code quality through automated testing, documentation, and reviews, and handle production incidents.
• Mentor junior engineers and represent engineering in cross-functional planning with Finance, Operations, and senior leadership.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of frontend and backend web development best practices, primarily using JavaScript technologies.
• Experience building customer-facing products in a venture-backed or high-growth engineering team.
• Experience working in an early-stage startup with rapid growth, ambiguity, and end-to-end product ownership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Based in London or Paris.
• Required: spoken and written French and English.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, payments, wallets, or ledger systems.
• Expertise in security and data protection for an FCA-regulated business.
