Frontend Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in Paris, France. The role follows an office-first, in-person culture, with occasional work from home when appropriate. Relocation support is available, including assistance with a Paris apartment and residence and work permit procedures.

Salary: €60,000–€150,000 base salary, plus equity.

What you will do

• Create visually engaging frontend experiences end to end using React.
• Lead frontend technical projects while balancing performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product designers and users to shape interfaces, gather feedback, and iterate on features.
• Design frontend systems that scale with increasing product complexity while preserving simplicity and speed.
• Improve code quality, frontend best practices, and the evolution of the design system.
• Contribute to backend work with Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript, including REST APIs, data retrieval, and integrations.

Requirements

• Experience building frontend products with React.
• Strong TypeScript skills and comfort contributing to full-stack codebases.
• Ability to work with REST APIs, data retrieval, and backend integrations.
• Understanding of performance, accessibility, scalability, maintainability, and code quality.
• Rust experience is not required; expertise in other programming languages is welcome.

Nice to have

• Experience with Next.js, Node.js, shadcn, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, PostgreSQL, QDrant, Elasticsearch, Datadog, or GitHub Actions-based CI/CD.
