Payroll & Reinsurance Team Manager

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and support Payroll Consultants and Reinsurance Operations Analysts.
• Manage one-to-ones, KPIs, training plans, and team development.
• Prioritise workflows and resources to meet deadlines across a busy operational environment.
• Oversee customer data preparation, Buy-In payroll reconciliations, and payroll alterations.
• Support contractual obligations with reinsurers and internal client services teams.
• Improve processes, systems, and controls while identifying operational risks and mitigation actions.

Requirements

• Experience managing, leading, or developing a team in a busy operational environment.
• Strong organisation, prioritisation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Confidence setting expectations, supporting performance, and developing people.
• Problem-solving ability and strong attention to detail.
• Experience in financial services, pensions, payroll operations, reinsurance operations, or client services is helpful.
• Defined benefit pensions knowledge is beneficial but not essential; a CIPP or finance-related qualification is desirable.
