Senior Legal Counsel (m/w/d) Germany

Location: Frankfurt, Germany; hybrid work with flexible remote work and travel to locations within Germany several times a year

What you will do

• Advise internal stakeholders of the German business on risk analysis, ad-hoc legal questions, projects, and other legal matters.
• Negotiate, draft, and review customer agreements, supplier agreements, general terms and conditions, and other commercial contracts.
• Support claims handling and litigation with external experts and lawyers.
• Create and update legal templates, best practices, policies, guidelines, and processes, and train internal stakeholders.
• Monitor local legislation affecting the German business and participate regularly in Germany’s Management Team.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the legal department and strategic group projects.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in German law.
• At least 10 years of experience as an attorney and/or in-house legal counsel, including commercial law, contract law, and/or IT law.
• Effective written and oral communication skills in German and English.
• Business mindset with the ability to turn legal complexity into pragmatic advice understandable to non-lawyers.
• Strong organizational, analytical, negotiation, and contract drafting skills.
• Proactive problem-solving approach and commitment to high-quality work, with a hands-on and can-do mentality.
• Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
• High integrity, professionalism, intellectual curiosity, and eagerness to learn and grow.
