TL;DR
Strategy Lead (Media Strategy): Developing communications strategies for client briefs and pitches, grounded in audience understanding, cultural context, competitive positioning, and media behavior with an accent on creative thinking, storytelling, and marketing and media principles. Focus on challenging conventional thinking, building persuasive strategic narratives, leading workshops, and turning insights into effective activation and award-winning work.
Location: Manchester, United Kingdom; hybrid work with teams in the office around four days a week.

What you will do
- Own communications strategy development for client briefs, including audience identification, growth opportunities, cultural context, brand positioning, competitive analysis, and media behavior.
- Lead communications strategy for pitches, using audience science and bespoke research to connect strategic thinking with activation and big ideas.
- Run workshops and brainstorms, collaborate with creative and PR agencies, and coordinate teams to bring strategies to life.
- Write agency thought leadership, attend industry conferences and talks, and maintain awareness of developments in media, marketing, and culture.
- Coach and mentor junior strategists while improving briefing, planning, brainstorming, and debate practices.
- Identify award-winning client work and lead the storytelling and results development for award entries.
Requirements
- Ability to create compelling narratives and persuade stakeholders around strategies, ideas, and media arguments.
- Knowledge of core media and broader marketing principles, industry literature, and best practices in media and communications.
- Creativity in solving problems and combining data, insights, and media formats to develop new ideas.
- Strong critical-thinking skills for analyzing business, media, and human challenges and forming clear points of view.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom is required.
