Area Architect (Communication)

Location: Stockholm, Norrköping, or Åre, Sweden. Applicants must have the right to work in the EU without limitations; applications from outside the EU cannot currently be processed.

What you will do

• Shape the technical direction of the Communication Area with tech leads, engineering teams, and Area Leadership.
• Guide architectural trade-offs involving scalability, reliability, performance, developer experience, and maintainability.
• Review significant technical proposals, challenge assumptions, explore alternatives, and strengthen designs.
• Identify emerging technical risks, opportunities, and foundational investments for the long-term evolution of the platform.
• Facilitate architectural discussions across teams and create shared technical direction.
• Coach tech leads and senior engineers while collaborating with architects across hirify.global.

Requirements

• Experience providing architectural leadership across multiple teams or domains as a technical lead, architect, or senior engineer.
• Deep experience with distributed systems and event-driven architecture, including asynchronous processing, message queuing, delivery guarantees, retries, idempotency, and fault tolerance.
• Experience with communication or messaging systems at scale across areas such as content creation, personalization, scheduling, delivery, and tracking.
• Experience designing integration architectures with external systems or delivery providers such as email, SMS, or push services.
• Eligibility to work in the EU without limitations is required.

• Experience with .NET and C#.
• Experience with Azure and high-volume transactional databases.
• Experience with content rendering or templating systems.
• Experience with martech, CRM, CDP, or email marketing platforms.
