TL;DR
Data Architect (AWS): Designing enterprise-scale data platforms and modernization solutions with an accent on cloud-native architecture, distributed processing, security, and scalability. Focus on leading architectural decisions, optimizing performance and cost, and developing migration strategies for production-ready AWS data systems.
Location: Argentina; 100% remote work. Up to 25% travel may be required depending on business needs.

What you will do
- Lead architectural design for enterprise-scale data platforms and modernization programs.
- Ensure technical viability, scalability, security, performance, and production readiness.
- Define distributed processing, streaming, database, networking, and automation architectures.
- Communicate architectural decisions, trade-offs, standards, and technical roadmaps.
- Develop migration strategies, cutover plans, risk mitigation approaches, and architectural documentation.
- Apply infrastructure-as-code, automation, FinOps, and performance optimization practices.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, database engineering, or architecture roles.
- 3+ years designing cloud-based data solutions.
- 3+ years working with the AWS data landscape.
- Experience designing modern data platforms, including lakehouse, ingestion, processing, and access layers.
- Advanced expertise in distributed processing, streaming, OLTP/OLAP systems, schema evolution, database performance, high availability, disaster recovery, and security.
- Advanced English, minimum C1, required.
Nice to have
- Experience leading multi-database migration and modernization initiatives.
- Experience with cloud-native databases and managed services.
