Principal Technical Program Manager, AWS Mantle (AI Infrastructure)

Location: USA, Washington, Seattle

Salary: $177,000–$239,400 annually, plus sign-on payments and restricted stock units.

Amazon AI is building AWS Mantle, a next-generation distributed inference engine that powers secure, enterprise-grade access to foundation models through Amazon Bedrock.

What you will do

• Own strategy and delivery for large programs spanning engineering teams, product organizations, and VP organizations.
• Define direction and create execution paths for ambiguous technical and business problems.
• Lead model onboarding pipelines, Zero Operator Access security programs, multi-region capacity scaling, and global API availability initiatives.
• Drive architecture discussions with Principal Engineers and software development managers, identifying dependencies, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and risks.
• Represent customer needs in executive prioritization, roadmap planning, and resource allocation.
• Mentor TPMs and improve program management practices across Amazon Bedrock.

Requirements

• 7+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 10+ years of direct experience working with engineering teams.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience managing cross-functional technology programs, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
• Experience analyzing technical strategies, architectures, risks, and resource trade-offs.
