Technical Program Manager, Cross-Company AI Data (AI)

Location: Mountain View, United States, or Redmond, Washington; required in the office 4 days per week

Salary: USD $142,800–$274,800 per year across the U.S.; USD $188,000–$304,200 per year in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area

What you will do

• Drive cross-company data programs from researcher intake through compliant delivery, defining requirements, milestones, owners, dependencies, risks, and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate with product data owners, engineering, legal, privacy, security, Responsible AI, procurement, and external partners to unblock acquisition and access.
• Manage data specifications, transfer methods, schemas, storage, access patterns, service expectations, issue resolution, and refresh commitments.
• Oversee ingestion, scrubbing, de-identification, credential and PII removal, deduplication, filtering, quality checks, and validation.
• Maintain provenance, lineage, authorization, consent or opt-out requirements, retention, deletion, access controls, and approved-use evidence.
• Monitor recurring refreshes, delivery health, lifecycle operations, risks, decisions, issue logs, handoffs, and program metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in engineering, product or technical program management, data operations, privacy-sensitive technology, or equivalent experience.
• Experience driving complex, cross-organizational technical programs with dependencies, milestones, risk management, and measurable outcomes.
• Experience with data pipelines or lifecycle operations covering acquisition, ingestion, transformation, quality validation, access, refresh, retention, and deletion.
• Ability to influence without authority, resolve ambiguous ownership, build technical relationships, and communicate decisions and escalations clearly.
• Working knowledge of AI training and evaluation data controls, including privacy, data protection, IP and licensing, security, Responsible AI, consent, provenance, lineage, de-identification, and permitted use.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience in engineering, product or technical program management, AI data operations, data governance, or privacy-sensitive products.
• Experience delivering data programs across product, research, engineering, legal, privacy, security, Responsible AI, and platform teams in a large or highly regulated environment.
• Strong technical judgment and written communication skills, including operational controls, troubleshooting, scalable processes, and metrics-driven improvement.
