Lead Product Software Engineer (Go)

Location: Hybrid role based in Porto, Portugal. Applicants may be required to attend in-person interviews at a hirify.global office.

What you will do

• Develop product architecture and backend features for Kyte using Go, with a focus on scalability, maintainability, performance, and usability.
• Collaborate with product managers, product owners, designers, and frontend engineers to define and deliver functionality.
• Identify technical debt and refactoring opportunities while implementing new features.
• Establish backend development practices covering component architecture, state management, testing strategies, and operational concerns.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with product, support, and operations teams.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.

Requirements

• Senior-level professional backend software development experience in a product team or full-stack team.
• Strong understanding of software design, APIs, data modeling, and operational concerns.
• Hands-on experience deploying and running cloud applications with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and day-to-day software delivery practices.
• Experience with agile development, including Scrum or Kanban, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to learn new languages, frameworks, and tools, and to use AI-assisted development tools.
