Facilities Manager (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Los Angeles, California, USA. The role supports office, laboratory, warehouse, and manufacturing environments and requires in-person work across active production and construction areas. All applicants must be U.S. Persons due to export control requirements.

What you will do

• Lead, schedule, develop, and manage the facilities team, including technicians, specialists, and in-house janitorial staff.
• Own preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire and life safety, compressed air, and building systems.
• Manage vendors, service contracts, RFPs, operating budgets, forecasts, invoices, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Lead site facilities projects, build-outs, renovations, equipment installations, infrastructure upgrades, and space planning.
• Partner with EHS on OSHA inspections, corrective actions, lockout/tagout, incident follow-up, HAZMAT, waste, and environmental compliance.
• Maintain CMMS/IWMS records, asset documentation, work-order reporting, compliance records, and emergency response plans.

Requirements

• U.S. Person status is required due to export control requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of progressive facilities management experience, preferably in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or high-tech environments.
• Experience managing people, vendors, budgets, and facilities programs in industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire and life safety systems, building codes, OSHA/EHS requirements, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and CMMS or facilities workflow systems.
• Ability to work safely in production and construction areas, use PPE and facilities equipment, access elevated or confined spaces, and respond to emergencies outside normal business hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with aerospace or regulated, mission-critical manufacturing environments.
• Experience leading facility build-outs, expansions, or new-site launches.
• Knowledge of NFPA, NEC, and applicable building and fire codes.
• CFM, FMP, or equivalent facilities credential.
• Experience with operational dashboards, reporting metrics, budgets, forecasts, and vendor financial controls.
