Head of Facilities (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

Compensation: $253,000 – $295,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end delivery of capital projects across offices, labs, and manufacturing facilities.
• Manage the facilities portfolio for a fast-scaling company, ensuring safety and operational readiness.
• Negotiate and manage general contractors, vendors, and landlords for buildouts and expansions.
• Develop and maintain capital budgets, tracking spend against forecasts for all active projects.
• Establish facility standards, systems, and vendor playbooks to ensure consistent quality across new sites.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering capital projects and facility buildouts from budget to occupancy.
• Background managing facilities for a fast-growing, multi-site organization.
• Strong negotiation skills with general contractors, vendors, and landlords.
• Expertise in building and managing capital budgets for complex projects.
• Ability to identify and mitigate facility risks, lease issues, and code compliance challenges.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with manufacturing or lab facilities.
• Background in data center or mission-critical environments.
• Knowledge of EHS and building code compliance.
