What you will do

• Perform quantitative, economic, and technical analyses of U.S. power markets using commercial models, proprietary tools, and large datasets.
• Develop long-term forecasts for energy, capacity, ancillary service, and renewable energy markets.
• Evaluate renewable energy, battery storage, conventional generation, transmission, and emerging energy investments.
• Analyze load growth, fuel prices, transmission congestion, generation retirements, policy changes, and new resource additions.
• Support interconnection and transmission analyses, asset valuations, project financing, acquisition due diligence, and M&A engagements.
• Prepare client presentations, technical reports, market insights, proposals, and thought leadership materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, economics, finance, operations research, mathematics, energy systems, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Consultant candidates need 1–4+ years of relevant experience with a master’s degree or 2–4+ years with a bachelor’s degree.
• Senior Consultant candidates need 4–7+ years of relevant experience with a master’s degree or 5–8+ years with a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with analytical and problem-solving work, Excel, and quantitative analysis tools.
• Experience with Python, R, SQL, or similar programming languages.
• Applicants must be eligible to work from the United States; the position is U.S. remote.

Nice to have

• Experience with PROMOD, PLEXOS, Aurora, PSLF, or similar power market simulation and forecasting platforms.
• Understanding of U.S. wholesale power markets, market design, transmission systems, resource adequacy, and generation economics.
• Experience with renewable energy, battery storage, transmission, utility, or infrastructure investment projects.
• Knowledge of asset valuation, project finance, M&A due diligence, or investment analysis.
• Experience with Power BI, artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, or AI-enabled productivity tools.
