Consultant, Advisory (Real Estate Valuation)

Location: New York, New York, United States of America; flexible work model combining office collaboration and remote work for focused tasks.

Salary: $65,000–$95,000 base pay annually, excluding bonuses, equity, benefits, and other incentives.

What you will do

• Manage the quarterly valuation process for institutional real estate funds and related appraisal management activities.
• Coordinate daily workflows, interpret client requests, and manage engagements to deliver on time and on budget.
• Improve client deliverables through quantitative data visualization, dashboards, charts, maps, and portfolio metric presentations.
• Review third-party appraisal reports, resolve issues with clients and appraisers, and verify compliance with USPAP and state regulations.
• Review junior staff work, provide coaching and mentoring, and manage client communications and relationships.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Statistics, Data or Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, VBA, macros, Power Query, Pivot Tables, Power Pivot, and dynamic named ranges.
• Experience in commercial real estate valuation, asset management, acquisitions, or underwriting.
• Financial analysis and modeling experience for commercial property types such as office, industrial, retail, or multifamily assets in ARGUS.
• Strong communication, project management, deadline management, and client-deliverable lifecycle skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with R or Python statistical programming, SQL, Tableau or Power BI, and Snowflake.
